VMC operates in the field of electronic manufacturing, precision engineering, manufacturing of opto-electronic devices. VMC also expands new technology such as manufacturing composite, surface treatment, robotics, wind power, oil and gas... VMC's goal is to become the pillar of the National High-tech Defense Industrial and participate in the global supply value chain. This is the 9th corporation under Viettel Group.

Currently, VMC has a factory system of more than 26 hectares and 1,300 employees with many modern production lines such as the SMT chain using solder paste and surface mount technology with a capacity of about 1,000,000 components /hours; high-tech precision mechanical equipment system; fiber optic cable system. In the near future, a precision mechanical factory with an area of ​​​​nearly 10 hectares will be built in Hoa Lac High-Tech Zone, which will promote the process of research, production, manufacturing of high-tech precision mechanical products.

VMC was established by merging two companies of Viettel, M1 and M3 Company which have a long tradition in research and manufacture to meet the requirements of national defense and civil tasks. VMC is currently maintaining its position as the leading manufacturer of optical cables and telecommunications accessories in Vietnam; the main supplier of materials, components for the aerospace industry of Meggitt Group, and major commercial aircraft manufacturer such as Boeing, Airbus...serving several markets such as Asia - Europe - America.
