The DCCI Summit 2024 was divided into three specialized sessions: Data Center Room, Cloud Room, and AI Room.

In the Data Center session, alongside discussions about the market, trends in building and operating data centers globally, experts shared solutions for high-power density racks to meet infrastructure needs for AI applications. They also discussed the challenges of bringing Vietnam's data centers to a global level, meeting international standards, and ensuring sustainability.

Meanwhile, the Cloud Computing session covered various topics related to the practical implementation of cloud computing in different fields: Edge Cloud Computing widely applied in finance, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, e-commerce, Automated Data Management Platforms on hybrid cloud, Multi-cloud and hybrid cloud, Cloud FinOps, Data sovereignty and data protection, Optimal solutions and system management, and the use of AI technology in behavior analysis and process automation.

Notably, unlike previous years, the DCCI Summit 2024 introduced a theme currently discussed worldwide: Artificial Intelligence (AI).

During the AI session, experts from renowned technology companies such as Qualcomm, Radware, and Viettel AI discussed artificial intelligence and practical applications, optimal deployment strategies in Vietnam, AI in cybersecurity, AI applications in marketing and sales strategies, and high-performance and cost-saving AI infrastructure – the key to development in the AI era.

In addition to the specialized sessions, attendees had the opportunity to visit and experience the booths of major technology companies, interact with Viettel's Human AI - Vi An, and explore Viettel IDC's international standard data center for AI through virtual reality (VR) technology. This data center, the largest in Vietnam, welcomed its first customers in March.

During the "CxO Roundtable: Green Tech for Green Future" workshop in the afternoon, Viettel's consulting experts and international businesses shared insights into global green technology trends and practical applications for Vietnamese enterprises.

The conference marks a milestone for Viettel IDC after 15 years of establishment and development, with a pioneering mission in providing new solutions and technologies for the digital society. It is also part of Viettel's strategy to explore new horizons and anticipate technology development trends.

According to statistics, the global Data Center market size reached approximately $70 billion in 2023, maintaining a stable compound annual growth rate of approximately 14.7% over the past decade, expected to continue until 2030.

The Asia-Pacific (APAC) region is currently experiencing faster Data Center growth than other regions. The APAC market size is valued at about $30 billion, with a compound annual growth rate of 18.9% by 2028. The forecast for the Vietnamese Data Center market size by 2030 is $1.266 billion, with an average compound annual growth rate of 10.8%.

Meanwhile, the Asia-Pacific cloud market is expected to have the highest growth rate by 2030 due to rapid industrialization, government initiatives and support, clear understanding of digital transformation in enterprises, increasing investments in IT infrastructure, industrial shifts to emerging markets in the region, and the concentration and growth of the IT industry. In the Vietnamese market, the forecast for Cloud Computing services is expected to reach over $1.2 billion by 2030.
