Breeding cows to help the poor in the border - also known simply as the Cow program - is a social program where Viettel will deduct 1 million VND in revenue when each customer uses Viettel's postpaid products to buy cows for the people. With the goal that from 2014 to 2016 will buy 24,000 breeding cows and give them to poor households according to national standards, helping them to escape poverty sustainably, cling to the land, and preserve the village. "For every 15 customers participating, Viettel transfers to the fund enough funds to buy a cow worth 1 million VND to give to poor households. The recipient of the cow will have the full names and phone numbers of 15 people who have voluntarily bought sim cards to give as gifts.
